Network Engineer / Network Administrator (Oahu, HI)
Location: Honolulu, HI
Salary: $65,000+
Qualifications:
● 5+ years Network Engineering/Administration experience.
· Responsible for LAN/WAN network infrastructure including Cisco routers and switches, load-balancing systems, caching server, 802.11x (Wi-Fi), VoIP, xDSL, DWDM, SONET, and Nortel CVX.
· Monitor computing and network resources, including, network bandwidth, routers utilization, Internet uplink capacity and computing system performance, DNS, DHCP, BGP, MPLS, VoIP, SBCs, voice gateways, call agents, IP phones and analog terminal adapters (ATA).
· Security processes and procedures, including firewall architectures and configurations, NIDS and any other related services.
· Lead all troubleshooting and manage network problems and outages.
· IP networking experience in an ISP and or Carrier environment.
· Experience in network design. Extensive in LAN/WAN network architecture and design.
· Experience with network analysis using packet capture software (wireshark, ethereal), iperf bandwidth testers.
· Experience with UNIX and Windows systems.
· In-depth knowledge in TCP/IP, Authentication (RADIUS, TACACS), firewall and security technologies, Distance Vector and Link State routing algorithms, MPLS and TE,
VoIP infrastructures, systems, VoIP protocols and codecs.
· In-depth knowledge in access technologies (DSL, Frame, ATM) and equipment (Cisco, Nortel, Lucent, Alcatel, Zhone, Adtran).
· Experience working with public and private BGP peers & Internet organizations such as, ARIN, IANA, Network Solutions and MPLS/TE technologies.
· In-depth knowledge of VoIP infrastructure, systems and protocols.
· Cisco Certification: CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, CCDP, CVoice, or CCIE
· Bachelor's Degree
Compensation Information:
· $60,000 - $65,000 / year + full benefits, vacation, holidays
